Can't edit forums

I can add sections to Newbb, but when I go to the "edit forums" page, it shows three fields that belong there and then shows the "edit category" page as part of the :edit forums" page.

This happened a day after I installed XOOPS. It was working fine the first day and I was able to add a forum. But when I tried to add a forum the next day, this happened.

How do I fix this?

I seem to have this problem as well, I can add a forum but cannot edit it. I have a strong feeling this is a register globals problem and if I find the answer I will post here.
