Database problem

Ok, heres my situation. I set up a MySQL database before uploading all the XOOPS files to my public_html folder. I was about to install, when I realised I'd forgotten the password to the MySQL database. I deleted the old database and created a new one, with a new user. Now I have an error page, pointing me to class/database/databasefactory.php line 34

which is:

trigger_error("Unable to connect to database", E_USER_ERROR);


So now I have no XOOPS installation page. I'm guessing this error was caused by me deleting the old database and creating a new one. Can someone please help me, and tell me what I should do?

According to what you wrote, it looks like you never went through installation, but I'm guessing you did, if not what URL is giving you that error?

No I didn't go through the installation process. The address is www.nintendofusion.co.uk which is where I did have the installation screen, until I changed the databases as I said above.
