is it possible with XOOPS to change the colour of text, add graphics and change the design? what theme should i look for? thanks, hugbard.

This is possible of course! Please have a look at point 6 in the XOOPS wiki, which gives you a better understanding of the XOOPS theme/template system.

The theme wiki should help you alot but building a new one from scratch is never easy :) To find themes look here.. Find a nice theme and edit it with some help from the wiki.
