Actually Itry to set up XCGal. Well it is due as I saw a lot of very nice feedback on this mod.

However, what I need to do is really basic and I wonder if it is the right module or if another one will fit for my requirements.

My idea is to have a basic block with thumbnail pictures, ordered by name /or filename. Ability to set the number of raw and colums per page for the thumbnail.

I should also have 2-3 lignes per photos for a descrition or comment.

Then when I click on the thumb, just have the full size picture in a separate window.

That's it... nothing more no need for users generated album, etc etc..

Thanks for any advise

Both MyAlbum-P and XcGallery will do this. All I can advise is take both of them for a spin, and see which one you like best. One thing to make sure of though is to make sure that you take future possible needs into account when selecting. Trust me, if you get 12 months down the line and realise that the photo gallery you have choosen is NOT going to do what you want anymore, transferring several hundred photos to a new gallery is not going to be a great deal of fun.
