I was wondering what Xoops.org uses for their menu system. I would also like a General Information section, for use with about page, etc. I've tried several different modules, none with the results I want. For now, I have created a custom block with links to external html files that pop up in new windows, but I would like to keep it in the same window with my website still loaded, and the content in the center of the screen, for instance the General Information/Overview link.

Anyone have any suggestions, XOOPS team?

Thanks in advance.

You will need a module like FreeContent, C-Jay Content etc to wrap your HTML files - have a look in the Download section.

Another way of doing that is to include a static item on your main menu.

Search the foruns with "static link".
In order to embed a static html file in your XOOPS invironment, you need to include some php?s tags in the header and footer sections of your static html code.
Browse wiki.

Hope this helps

Thank you all for your suggestions, I was able to add an "About" page to the main menu link by adding the static into the systemblock mainmenu template. Although, this is not what I was looking for, it will do for now.

There should be a way where you can add another block like xoops.org has under the General Information, like another main menu without much hassle. I hope this is in the works. Cjay, freecontent, tinycontent just doesn't do that. It adds an item in the main menu, but all the content is then under that link, not on the main.

Thanks again for the help !

A very easy way to do this sort of thing is with either iMenu or MultiMenu.
