I have installed XOOPS on my hosting before my
domain name resolves the new DNS of the hosting and now when I type somedomain.com I see the ip address not the domain name.How can I fix this? I want to see the real domain name in the address bar not the ip address.

I just did this recently. Go to the root of XOOPS and modify mainfile.php

Look for this section

Quote:
// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.albanycc.org.nz');


Change the XOOPS_URL value to your Domain name.
