How do I upgrade from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6

Hi,

I just want to know how to I upgrade my version 2.0.5 to 2.0.6.

Thx for your help.

1. Backup MySQL database

2. Backup your XOOPS website

3. Overwrite your XOOPS website with the 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 patch which will update all the necessary files.

4. You should now have a 2.0.6 XOOPS based site.

After I did this, the installer appears. Do I need to recopy the old mainfile.php to the new version?

Did you use the 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 upgrade patch? It sounds like you used the full 2.0.6 release instead of the upgrade patch.
