Perhaps you know GeneWeb ...

It could be interesting to adapt it.

Hi,

I agree with cmelo it's a pretty good and excellent programm.
This one is my favorit.
It's this one we have to make a module for Xoops.
And I'm really interesting. I can make the french language and if there is nobody for spanish I'll make it too.

I think TNG seems to be the best. Even if it costs 25$. If i could be of any help, i will. I haven't written any modules myself, but would it be so difficult port it to xoops?

The best one is located here:http://cristal.inria.fr/~ddr/GeneWeb/

The guy that made the module and block for this baby is here:http://php.pasteur.net/index.php?newlang=english

I have it running on my PHP-Nuke site and it is beautiful. I bet he would make the module for XOOPS if someone contacted him, he already made another for Post-Nuke.

Hi,

I know very well Geneweb, I use it.
I just ask the webmaster if it's possible to have it for Xoops.
I'll tell you his answer.

I think you should take a look at "The Next Generation" here:
http://lythgoes.net/genealogy/software.php
In my opinion it seems more powerful than geneweb. Clip from the FAQ:
Are there plans to support other content management systems (besides PostNuke and PHPNuke)?
There are no definite plans, but it could happen. I would certainly like to accommodate as many such systems as possible. If you would like to assist in a port to your favorite system, please let me know.

Bonsoir,

Bien cordialement.

Olivier Pasteur

he can't help us, we have to find someone to translate it from post-nuke to Xoops.
Who can do that?

Thanks for the pointers. GeneWeb looks okay.... but TNG looks awesome!
