I have several XOOPS sites and I believe i'm using 3 diferent versions on all of them. how do I check what version I'm using without the footer in place ? any command ?

I don't know any commands to get the version...
but inside the directory your_xoops_root\include there is on file called version.php

there you can see they set the version manually:

Central reporting for all core versions, 3rd party that plug in, server OS, backend versions, PHP and running configs, etc.

Other stats that are always being asked about is another topic. Specific backend stats is what I usually ask for when offering help.

An example was a back and forth thread and PM session that would have been shorter if I could have asked the user for that Admin Report. Once I verified that zlib.compression output was turned on I knew what the problem was.
