I got:
- a phpBB 2.0.5 fully installed and running at http://site/forum
- 4image 1.7 fully installed and running at http://site/photos
- XOOPS 2 also installed and running well at http://site/xoops

i'd like to keep the forum and the gallery integrating them in xoops, so the users would log in only once and keep my gallery and forum current themes.
is there a way to do it?

At http://www.bbpixel.com you can download a phpBB and a 4images module for Xoops2. But both modules will alter XOOPS core files.

will those keep my current forum database?
i've got up to 50 users and 2000 posts, i don't wanna tell them "hey guys, you have to register again and post it all again."

Core files, are the files normally included in the XOOPS download package. On the other side are the module files, which were located in the modules folder or in the module packages you can download.

Altering core files is not very good, because when you update your XOOPS to a newer version, the changes you have made to some core files will be overwritten.
