Apache 2.0.47
PHP 4.3.3 RC4
MYSQL 4.0.1b
XOOPS 2.0.5.2
window xp

I go a problem, I place localhost, I can access the server from within my local network, but it doesn't function correctly outside of the network. If I set it to the proper site,http://myip, everyone on the internet can log in successfully, but I cannot log in from my local network.

if the server is requested from within the local network, I replace the 'http://myip with 'http://localhost',
so it can be accessed from both inside and outside of the network. Any help.
Thanks

Do you know anyone local that understands DNS? It is a simple thing to fix when you understand DNS/IP/Routing. Hard to fix these things on the board with so many variables possible at your end.

Start by configuring mainfile.php with the proper settings for use by the internet if that is the intention. Then with some simple changes on your internal net it will work just fine.

Best fix is an internal DNS that resolves internal IPs as you need them. You can also place the internal IP and external hostname in a "hosts" file. Look for it or the sample called "hosts.sam". Update it and rename it to just "hosts" without an extention. You can also do firewall tricks. But I have no idea of what is available at your end.
