Hi,

I'm quit new to Xoops, so don't shoot me when I'm asking a silly question.

For all the installed modules I have enabled (by default) all notification events. When I choose notifications from the user menu, I don't see any event where I can subscribe on.

I checked the Admin menu several times, but I can't find an option to enable/disable notifications. What am I doing wrong?

Re: empty notifications list

You don't select to be notified from the notification item in the user menu.
That page just shows the items you HAVE selected to be notified about.

Each module - which supports notifications - has an item in the Administration Menu -> [Module Icon] -> Preferences where you enable/disable notifications for that module.

E.g. News - if you check that it is enabled, you should see a form below the news display (modules/news/index.php) where you can select to be notified of new topics and stories. If you check one of them and submit, it should now show up in your notification page in the User Menu.

Events show up in the notifications list after you subscribe to them.

You can subscribe to a forum topic (for example) by checking one of the boxes at the bottom of the page when you're reading or replying to the topic ("Notify me of new posts in this thread").
