I think you are asking the wrong question on the wrong forum, Maybe this post should go to e-xoops forum???

Please see other posts on this forum re using e-xoops and XOOPS modules. They are usually incompatible due to the core function of smarty. This is a fundamental difference in the 2 systems. Certainly there are ways to convert or redesign modules to 'Fit' either system, but not without significant code changes. What you find is that the same type of module exists for both systems, where module developer have recognised the usefulness of a script and done thtat conversion. When you download modules from unofficial sources ALWAYS make sure it's for the system your are using.
