Well I've installed 3 copies of XOOPS onto my server. Everything installed with no problem and everything is working just fine, except news (on all three of them).

When I try to post news it comes back:

I have even tried diffrent versions of XOOPS and same error. Any insight into this problem would be appreciated.

Are you posting news from the Admin side (within the Admin Control Panel) or from the public side?

Try checking group permissions. Default settings of new installations does not set admin rights to the webmaster group, so you might have to specify the permissions and add some members.

One common mistake is to just change the rank of a user to Webmaster from User Profile, without going into the group permissions to add that member and give admin rights.

I am posting from the Admin account when it refuses. On the linux server this works. On the win2k server it fails. However everything else in XOOPS works. There are even a couple fresh installs of XOOPS in diffrent directories and they show the same behavior. Any ideas?
