Hi Ho folks,

Am presently using XOOPS (liking it) to build a website for one of my client's business. I want to customize the news module to use it as a source for press-release news. I backed up the file 'modules/news/templates/news_item.html' and then made a simple hack to the file (I deleted the author DIV).

However, the change isn't appearing (insert ARGH sound here). Is this being cached somewhere or is it stored in the db? Or am I missing something all together obvious.

You have to clone (copy) the default template set (Admin>System>Templates>), set the copied template set as the default, (Admin>System>Preferences>General Settings)
then you can edit the template in System/Admin/Templates.

No, but Xooops is designed so that you can't modify the default template set, so you always have a "correct" template set.
