I do not see the option to add users to a special group.

When I click on groups All I see is a list of users I had already added to that group a week ago. But the member's list box is now missing so I am unable to add more users.

Try updating your system module in module's admin. If that don't work, delete the old special users group then create it again and see if you can then add users again to it.

Is your problem that you can't create new groups? After you create your group, if you are able, you then edit that group to add in your users. Is your problem that you can create the groups but then can't go back in and add users to it?
