add Whole Group to private forum

is it not possible to add an admin-created group of users to a private forum, instead of 1 by 1 (adding individual users, and *then* giving them permission to post...)???

if there's a way to do this, please let me know

hmm.... you would think that creating Groups in the XOOPS Admin, would then make that group exist in the forum Access Level settings...

Nope! That's one of the features I requested in the newbb feature requests topic. I'm having to do things the hard way until they make it easier in the next version.

is there really that much to change though? wouldn't it require just making newbb look at the Groups database, instead of wherever it's currently looking?...

heh, well, i guess that's the first actual strike that XOOPS has against it :-X

I got spoiled with the admin of phpBB2. It's alot easier to do things as an admin on that board. Hopefully, the newbb will have some good improvements in the next version.
