Is there a way to use the /search.inc.php file found in most modules to search for items in that specific module only?

I am trying to create a search function for one module on my site and I was just wondering if there was an easy way to do this by using the search.inc.php file.

Any help is appreciated.

oops, nevermind I just found it in the advanced search option

I'll just pull the code from there and create my own search box in the module.
