Just wondering if it would be possible to have two seperate banner tags for the next major release of Xoops? I don't see myself ever needing any kind of serious banner management, as otherwise I'd just use phpadsnew. I think the banner management in XOOPS currently would be ideal if I was able to differentiate between horizonatally and vertically aligned ads. Perhaps have a <{$xoops_banner_hor}> smarty tag for horizontal aligned banners such as the default XOOPS banners, and a <{$xoops_banner_vert}> for banners that are vertically aligned for inclusion in the left and right columns.

We've several ideas, like merging the banner management system module with the partners module. However this is still a very low priority task and not sure when we can actually start working on this.

Thanks for the reply onokazu. I might see if I can write a hack for this myself then if there isn't too much involed in it, otherwise I'll just use the phpadsnew module.
