I do not know whether this is a bug or whether this was made by purpose. But if I do a search with XOOPS 2.04 and get the results displayed, I can not click on the articles displayed to open them directly (for FAQ and news).

Is this on purpose and is there any "workaround hack" available?

I noticed this as well...I would think it is a bug. The actual difference in the link which takes you directly to a FAQ and the results from a search which shows the same FAQ is a 'q' character. Like so:

From search results:

http://../xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=1#1

From FAQ section:

http://../xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=1#q1

Stupid little q...

I hacked the xoopsfaq_category.html and xoopsfaq_index.html template files to remove the 'q' and then updated the FAQ module in the admin section.

It works fine for me now...

I haven't checked into the news problem but I ASSume it would be the same.
