Rcrong,
I don't belive there are any real genealogy module available for Xoops2. Sofar the only related module I have been able to find is a GEDCOM viewer at http://www.poplargedcomviewer.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=10

My mother would be very happy if I could provide her with online genealogy functionality. Thus I'm very interested having a genealogy module for Xoops2. I'm afraide I can't help porting it, but I would be happy to help testing it.

I can't say that I need it for my site, but I'm sure it could prove useful when it comes to family sites etc. It's a very interesting concept but I really think that you should also submit your suggestion to the devs athttp://modules.xoops2.com

Thanks for the intrest.
Yea I'm not much of a hack either.
So i took "Panos's" advice and posted the question there.
If you guys can go over to the:
modules.xoops2.com site I posted a request for the MyNukeGenealogy module in the form under "Module Requests" But no one has responded yet. If we generate some intrest there then maby someone would be gracious enough to take this on.

There's definitely some potential here. Family websites with online family trees, a kind of reunion forum place, etc. Could be very useful!

I've used Family Reunion software for the Mac, and enjoyed it. It had the ability to store family pictures, extra information and comments, and print out family trees in several layouts and levels of detail. It would be nice if a web-based solution was similar to that.

It's a tall order, but surely someone is talented enough to tackle it.

This one cost money but I also like it to work with XOOPS. The owner only makes it to work with php-nuke and post-nuke. It would be great if someone can write some patches to make it work with XOOPS

This is the link to the software:http://lythgoes.net/genealogy/software.php

I bought this program but I haven't used it because I'm still trying to find ways to make it work with XOOPS. However I can't find time to make it work.

Ok, I got "mispunt" (a developer of modules on www.modules.xoops2.com) in touch with the developer of MyNukeGenealogy. Looks like there going to work on it for us! Yes!! "The Next Grneration" software looks good also.
Maby you could get the TNG guy to port to xoops2?
Give him a shout.

I'm also interested in this ... I posted on the www.modules.xoops2.com site as well, and I'm the one running phpGedView in an iframe in my XOOPS site. Works OK, but not really elegant!
