At the release 2.5.11 https://github.com/XOOPS/XoopsCore25/releases
in the file XoopsCore25-master\htdocs\language\english\auth.php missing ending ?>
I fixed it myself.
How can this affect?

I can already see that it does not affect.
Can I not put a closing tag?

hi

you do not need a closing php tag, and normally in all of my modules you will find no such closing tag

you should have only one blank line at the end of each php file
