Hello fellow xoopsers :)
Here comes a returning long time user that joined some 20 years ago when this project was quite young. Back then I had a couple of xoops sites running services like early e-commerce modules, member directories, multi language projects and a local lexicon, some work and some privately related. If I remember correctly my first contribution was some work on translating to Swedish on Xoops 1.0 RC3!
I am very happy to see that Xoops is still around! This was my first open source collaboration experience that got me hooked for many FOSS projects to come over the years, both server side and on my personal devices, and today I always try to only use free community based software all around when possible. Always found Xoops amazing and unique regarding the smooth and clear upgrading process to new versions reflecting on the fact that I have done almost 50 updates/migrations from 1.0 to 2.5.10 on one of my websites...
The reason for looking back on Xoops this time was that my web host bumped me up to PHP 8 that broke my last standing xoops website that I used until some years back when migrating a old obsolete module to another solution. Out of curiosity I started to investigate and tinkering like old times again and was suddenly running the current master beta2 from Github!
So this is just a big thanks to everyone involved in keeping this project up and running. I will probably post some findings of things and issues I found on the way lately that I hope is useful.
One thing I am wondering about out of curiosity is the localization repository XoopsLanguages and the 404-link to Transifex, is it temporary down or not in use anymore?
Thanks again!
