Which user are you talking about? The one who started the thread is definitely not one with "XOOPS is my life" ranking.
Plus, you might come across postings of "XOOPS is my life" people, with some basic questions - it's possible that it was an old post from them when they just started with XOOPS, and were learning. And over time they became very proficient with XOOPS. So always look at the date when it was posted.
And even then, you might find some basic question from somebody who was here around for a while. We are just humans and we don't know everything
