Hi, everyone,

I can't find edit function in Forum after posting a topic. I checked the permission in setting, and the edit permission for register user was checked. Can anyone help? Thank you so much.

Just open and edit the "Subject" of the first post, and in case of other people responding, also the "subjects" of other posts, if you need to.

We don't have such a function, because each user can change the subject in their response, i.e. the "topic" will change automatically in his response.

As a moderator, I've changed your original topic by adding the (x) to it.

In my response, I've changed the topic by changing the (x) to (y) and adding the "(x becomes y)"

This way people can adjust their topics, and if the discussion moved to something else, the message can reflect that.

Mamba,

Thank you for your response. I didn't describe my question clearly. What I concern is the message (content) of a topic. May I edit the content after posting a topic. There is the "edit" permission to set, but no edit push bottom for user to edit their message.

The Edit button should be there.
Did you have it before? If yes, what have you changed in your configuration recently?

I forgot if there is the edit bottom or not. But just like here in the topic, I only see the two blue icons(Quote & Reply) and one green icon(Top). No edit function here.

In the preferences, you have the option:
Quote:
Time limit for edit a post
Set a Time limit for user editing their own post. In minutes, 0 for no limit

Here we give the users 60 minutes time to modify their post, after which the "Edit" button is not shown anymore.

Check the Preferences in your installation.
