As of July 10th, 2016, PHP 5.5 is not supported anymore:

http://php.net/supported-versions.php

What does it mean for everybody?

Quote:
A release that is no longer supported. Users of this release should upgrade as soon as possible, as they may be exposed to unpatched security vulnerabilities.

It is worth to note that PHP 5.6 will be actively supported only till end of the year, i.e.:
Quote:
Reported bugs and security issues are fixed and regular point releases are made.

The good news is that by that time all XOOPS key modules will be PHP 7 compatible.

Of course, it will happen faster, and with larger number of modules, if we get some additional help!

I'm doing the best I can to help translating and writing documentation - if you can read and write, you can help XOOPS :)!
