Please compare the time of creation of these files. Normally, after the cache clearing, there are around 12 files that are recompiled.

Yeah I know this, but unfortunately the date of update it follows that not even a file is deleted and there are many.

Permissions are set to 644 - Filezilla

Timgno, you didn't read the XOOPS installation instructions!
Go back and see what kind of permissions are required for the Cache folders...

found a jquery.js v1.8.3 backup in my localhost im not sure from which xoops version replace the current jquery.js and now everything is back to normal

There was a conflict between jQuery UI in XOOPS and in Publisher. I've fixed it in Publisher and it seems to be working, but I'll need to run some more tests.

I didn't look yet into extGallery, but as soon as I am done with Publisher, I'll take a look into it. However, extGallery will need more work, because many of the jQuery plugins are totally outdated

I'll keep you posted...

The permissions I have not touched it locally and even remotely.

It's possible that the server change the permissions without my knowledge?

What system do you use?

If you use locally WampServer on your PC, the folder permissions are not enforced.

If you use remotely a regular Linux, then 755 is not 777, and 777 is what the installation is calling for:

Please read also the "XOOPS Installation Guide", page 9 and 10.

Set it to 777 on your remote server, and see if it makes a difference.

Hello,

I have a problem with last extcal (2.37 and 2.38) and news module.

When I want to create a new event or article and preview it before submit, module lost the attached files or attached picture. He keep only the text content. If I submit without preview it works.

I had the same issue with xoops 2.5.6 and it's still there.

Very strange thing is happening on my server.

Now with 755 permissions are cleaned files smarty_compile but after a certain time.

Same thing for the file creation.

I'm browsing viewing many pages, but the files in the folder are not created immediately.

Why all this time?
