I was looking yesterday at various photo galleries, and I think, it would be good to have a nice updated version of extGallery for XOOPS 2.6.0. And include an import function for all the other XOOPS galleries, so people could migrate to extGallery, and we wouldn't have to maintain all the other modules.

If you love some features in the other galleries, please let us know, and we'll see if we can incorporate them into extGallery.

If you don't like extGallery, let us know what would we have to add to it to change your mind

We simply need in XOOPS 2.6.0 a very good "Photo Gallery" module, that has the latest coolest features of other galleries, and works well with other XOOPS 2.6.0 modules.

At this moment, there is no commitment from the developers that we'll have it, but it would be nice to know what our users are looking for in an "improved" extGallery, and what would convince them to migrate to it from whatever module they're using right now.

I like the choice of thumbnail view of the latest TDMPicture module.

Example here:

Extgallery is far the best gallery module.

What I want to see in next release:

1) Possible to use different editor (now you can only use the buildin one)
2) A more modern rating system (using ajax)
3) Clean URLs.

Now, the module does not even work properly in 2.6.

Getting this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ExtgalleryPubliccatHandler::XoopsObjectHandler() in ExtgalleryPersistableObjectHandler.php on line 53

What do you mean this? Picture editor, or text editor?

Most modules will need some cosmetic changes in order to work with XOOPS 2.6.0. But we are planning to use XMF (XOOPS Module Framework) that should help us to make it easier.
