be sure that xoops.css is loaded in your theme

you have to delete the .btn class from the css
it is not needed and it breaks the bootstrap design

can you also set the font size to 12px/22px in the #xoopspagenavbar
there is no need for such big buttins

i tried this in latest XOOPS 2.5.9 its not working

i replace class/ pagenav .php

Anyone have the latest version working with XOOPS 2.5.9 Final ?

this should be in core

Which module? It's possible that you don't have the right templates in the theme.
