Installing Composer is NOT enough!!!

As I said earlier, you need to do following:

Quote:
- make sure that the Composer is installed and is working from the /xoops_lib directory
- in the /xoops_lib directory run the command: "composer install" if you run it for the first time, or "composer update"
- the Composer will install all required external packages

If you go to /xoops_lib, and you don't have there a new directory called "/vendors", you have not done the above steps, and you can NOT install XOOPS, because it won't work.

Did you run Composer and do you have the "/vendors" directory in /xoops_lib?

Tatane, what is not clear in the instructions? Where are you getting lost?

Did you finally run the Composer and made it work?

Ok tatane, if you don't actually read the messages and follow what is said we can not help you. The message I left spelled out exactly what you need to do. If you can not follow those directions then I am not sure there is much else we can do to help you with this.

You have composer installed.. As mentioned in a prior message you need to change to your xoops_lib directory while in a command line. If you do a directory listing you will see there is a composer.json file in that directory. This file is what is read to setup the installation.

Once you are in this directory you run the "composer install" command and you are done.

For windows OS, use ComposerSetup.exe and from Command Line install or update all Resources direct in /xoops_lib

Other bugs found that solve many other problems and I am sure that you will definitely soon entered the class MyTextSanitizer

Quote:

Follow this Composer installation for Windows:

Quote:

Using the Installer#

This is the easiest way to get Composer set up on your machine.

Download and run Composer-Setup.exe, it will install the latest Composer version and set up your PATH so that you can just call composer from any directory in your command line.

Once you install Composer:

1) go to the /xoops_lib directory
2) open Windows Command window
3) type: composer install

Composer will then install the libraries defined in the "composer.json" file that is in the /xoops_lib, and you should receive now notice from Composer about downloaded libraries.

Once finished, you can now install XOOPS.
