Hi there,

I'm little bit confused. What's the latest Publisher module version?

Mine is Version 1.0 RC (2011-12-04) so is there any newer?

Hi bjuti, the code is being updated on google svn. I've noticed some performance problems with "permissions by item" that I need to address before rc2. I think we should remove them and use only permissions by category. I'll be working on it ASAP.
Are you looking for some bug fix or new feature?

Im realy glad that sea your post trabis.
Publisher need a deap debug to release a stable version asap.
Also it neads some features like multi-category.
Also some publisher functions should be move to core 2.6 like search highlighting.
I enhance publisher search functiones in newbb ( select/highlight text) and would be glad to see that in core 2.6 so all modules can use it.

Good to know. I play with Publisher from a few days. And it seems that it fits my needs very well (comparing other news/article modules and not too complicated). it would be a pity if it was abandoned project.
So I/m looking for bugs and I will report it. And maybe some improvement. E.g. highlighting keywords in search can break links. To prevent this I use in my projects this script with good results:

And it is easy to implement for the Publisher (which actually I have done on my test server already).

Yes that is one of the functional bugs that i corrected in newbb search.
Also i see recently dugris add highlight to XOOPS26/search.php and i think it is hardcode and has issues and its better to use my newbb highlight functinons located in newbb4.3 irmtfan branch at newbb/include/functions.text.php
I hope core team can review and add that to 2.6
I think i should send a feature request or better a bug report for 2.6.

Nice to see post from Trabis :)

Bugfixed version of Publisher is needed because I saw permission bug also.

New features would be nice but it's a new discussion.

I'm not sure do you have free time to work on it.

Great! I've made a class based on that script and it works perfectly!

It has been commited to svn (google code xuups svn).

I have removed permissions by item (in sites with many articles queries take to long)
I have removed partial view for articles (it was based on item permissions)
I've commited to svn the changes but I need to create an update script to delete the already created item permissions.
