incorrect links

HI Guys,

I am new to Xoops so dont really understand it that well, this is the first time I have ever used it so need a little help.

My first questions is.

How do I change the menu button links at the top of the page, the ones that say Home,Forum,News etc etc

The reason I ask is the Forum button points to www.mysite.com/modules/modules/newbb instead of www.mysite/modules/newbb

This is so annoying and cant find the answer I want, so helping that someone will be able to help me.

This menu items normally can be found in theme.html in the theme directory, you have to edit this by hand.

Do you have other modules linked to the top menu and do they work? If not it could also be a wrong path statement in mainfile.php

I have made these edits all ready and this still does not work

There is other there like news,Home,search and all theres work fine, I am just at a loss now

So only newbb has this problem... You are sure the seo option in newbb settings is not enabled?

I don't know what newbb version you are using... Mine has a seo url rewrite option in settings.

What version xoops and newbb do you use?

Both versions, xoops and newbb, are outdated. Please update xoops to version 2.5.5 and newbb to 4.x !

About what is the best 4.x branche, sorry I don't know either! 3.08 is still the official module but several people have updated newbb to a far more stable module (in beta mode, but better...). Please can someone help us, onhttp://xoops.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/xoops/XoopsModules/newbb/branches/ are several branches but which one is the one to choose at the moment?

According to the translation , irmtfan finish version of alfred
Irmtfan stable version , no errors found.

XOOPS SVN is changed month ago.
http://sourceforge.net/p/xoops/svn/10243/tree/XoopsModules/newbb/branches/

OLD SVN is freeze and irmtfan branch is just updated in the new SVN.
but the new SVN have not the tar.gz download and many other features.
you should use a SVN client like TortoiseSVN.

Anyway, it seems the issue stated in this topic is related to theme/templates.
try go to system -> maintenance and clear caches.
