I was looking for the upgrade/ directory in the htdocs/ directory, and when I didn't see it there, I assumed that the upgrade process had changed in the long time it's been since I've done an upgrade on my site. Thanks for taking the time to download the package and check that - and sorry for my careless mistake.

I followed your directions above and it went very smoothly.

Anyway,
I prepared an upgrade package for persian community from the full package.
I removed install, favicon, mainfile.php, images and uploads folder.
It just has 1 hack in the core files to make local captcha available for persians.
