Hi all,

Since a couple of days ago, our site is not working properly.

If you are not logged, you can access everything that´s open to anonymous people, but when you log in, you can only get a 550 error.

Strangely enough, you can access with no problem to /admin.php if after logged if your user has admin status. There I´ve activated PHP debug with usseless result, because 550 don´t give any info.

Looking at the ftp, the only file that had recent changes was profilefields.tmp wich I changed for an old backup version with no change.

We made no changes in the site recently and the hosting provider (Comalis) say they have changed nothing. The only error I´ve found in Plesk was that the key was out of date, but they fixed that, again, with no change in the behaviour of the site.

We are using XOOPS 2.2.3 Final and a CBB 3.04, forum. (Yeah, I know, we should update that).

I´ve searched the forum and I found no clue about this, any sugestions?

Try to:
- clear all cache (via Admin)
- copy checksum files to your XOOPS directory, and run it to see see what files changed, if any

Let us know if you find any missing/incorrect files (ignore missing /install or mainfile.php differences)

In the admin panel the only cache options I find are Module Cache found in Preferences>System>General configuration (I hope that´s the original name of the option, in spanish it´s called "Caché a nivel módulo") and were all disabled from the beggining.

If there is any other option, let me know, please.

I guess I have to use checksum.php and checksum.md5 from my actual version 2.2.3. Let´s see if sourceforge can help in that :)

Edit: Woops, i can´t find my version in sourceforge it seems to be a jump from 2.0.x to 2.3.x. Is there any problem in using other version´s checksum? I already have 2.4.4 and 2.5.4 versions already donwloaded.

Well, I´ve tried the checksum from Sourceforge´s 2.3.x and the answer is:

Wich I don´t get to understand, because the file was there.

With 2.4.5 checksum, the amount of errors is countless but I guess that makes sense taking in account the difference between versions.


On the other hand, I´ve tried a clean instalation in Local and everything was fine, but when I´ve imported the database tables, some parts of the site failed.


I´ve been working in this for then hours and I can see no end.. do you know anyone I can hire to work with this?

You probably need a file that came with your original installation.

Hmm, maybe it's time to update to XOOPS 2.5.5?

But make sure that you have backup and test it first on your local installation, using something like WAMPserver

Yep! And that´s what I´ve tried this morning!

I followed all the instructions, and I even got to the update page!

Full of emotion, I pushed the update button, waited for a while.. another while and a few whiles more (about 40 mins) and I could have waited forever.

Now, I can access nothing, Chrome gives error 7 and iExplorer even offers me diagnose if I have internet connection :/

I made a recovery from a backup and now I get a Plesk error..

I´ll post any new, and I hope a good one..

The error was this one:

"ERROR: PleskException

And I was told by the hosting provider that was caused because of my disk cuota being full. They fixed it and I proceeded to delete files, but free space decreased with every file delete and I´m with the same error again.

Anyone know how to fix it?

When I get the htpdocs clean, I´ll try a new 2.5.5 instalation with CBB 4.06, where I hope I can import the DB.

I don´t know yet if this is going to get a good end, but by the way, I´m learning a lot.

Deleting old files in var/lib/psa/dumps/tmp did the trick and I have not that error anymore, let´s prepare the 2.5.5 files.
