my site is getting a lot of spam registration and to control it, I have decided to moderate the registration process by adding a custom message that every user need to provide a text message for admin "Why do they want to join".

It would be great if the message can be included in the notification email that goes for user activation to admin(for admin approval). this message will help if the user is genuine or not.


Is it simple to achieve?

You could make a form for users to ask you if they may join. For registration validation you can use the token system from Wishcrafts profile module. Just send one back to the people you trust.

Did you also try the stop forum spam option in protector? In conjunction with xortify it really does prevent a lot of spam!
