I don't know how about X-Forum. But in CBB/NewBB you also need to set "Allow HTML" in the module in order to use TinyMCE.
I love Xoops!

Hi friends, i'm looking for a way to return an xforum installation to the old newbb or CBB

perhaps a conversor to migrate from xforum to vanilla forums?
i have many sites with xoops but a customer needs the migration, thanks in advance

Should be a simple database dump then import.. You may have to drop some fields or add some.

1) Make a backup of the xForum tables

2) Install NewBB

3) import the content of individual xForum tables to your NewBB tables

The tables should be the same, with only the prefix being different:

In xForums you have xf_attachments
In NewBB you have bb_attachments

So in your export file change the prefixes, and then import the content.

I hope, there is no differences in the table structure itself, because then you would need to make manual adjustments...
