Strange jgrowl popup behaviour in xoops 2.5.4

Jgrowl is acting strange sometimes. Showing logout popups whithout being logged in, showing more then one popup, but I also see login popups with the name of other users sometimes.

It's not browser or a specific computer related, it looks like popups are cached and reloaded when loading a page again...

this is caused by the excellent defacer module
in defacer prefs
"Enable jgrowl redirecting system" = off to get get rid of it.
