Php version 5.2.6
mySql 5.0.75
Apache 1 2.2.11

While install xoops 2.5.4 , it appears

"Could not copy the distribution file to mainfile.php"

all required permission set to chmod 777.

any solution for it?

That's impossible, if the permissions are set correctly. I've never heard of such a case. In most cases the file didn't have the permissions, or the user.

Check with your host provider...

run the checksum script to verify the files are correct and that you are not missing any files like mainfile.dist.php

instructions for the checksum script are in the release notes in the xoops package.
