Hello fellow XOOPS fans,
The Membership module sounds like it really has awesome potential for XOOPS. So I recently went to give it a test drive and the installation results for the install frame are shown below below. Second to last line shows "Failed to execute xoops_module_install_membership". After installing and going to the module admin it displays only the status bar, but no admin controls. There are no errors in Firebug net or script trace when opening this. Perhaps the message and symptom are related?

Bringing this to the top of the stack to report a bug. In the course of evaluating another module "Members", it says install successful, but with an error, and the modules admin area is inaccessible. Please reference the message and evidence of the issue shown in the preceeding message.

Other than the fact that it works on the "demo site" why post a module that doen't install?

Is this Mermbership module no longer supported, or is it incompatible with 2.5?

Has one person out there besides the developer managed to install and use it successfully?

xoobaru, I think you can contact Wishcraft directly. If you have a problem with this module, I think you can try the Subscriptions module by ThirdEyeSoftware + Paypal gateway. It works fine with 2.5.4. The module is free itself but the paypal gateway is something like $10 or even less. The link ishttp://products.thirdeyesoftware.com/modules/mydownloads/index.php

Hey thats great deka87, is that your software site? Download links are dead and there is no obvious order procedure whether registered and logged in or not. Is there a method to this? Payment not an issue if there is a way to get to it and complete the process.

Oh, it looks like they use the paid subscription itself before downloads can be enabled, which is nice because it gives you a firsthand view of the members experience. So I theenx I fygrd it out

xoobaru, no it's not mine yes they use the module themseleves and I can approve it works alright as well as the payment gateway. i've also seen a video instruction on youtube about the paypal gateway installation.
