Recent Topics Disappeared

Today I tried to update our recent topics block, to allow another forum (recently created) to be displayed within the block, and upon submission of the update, the block disappeared completely. No biggie, just need to know how to add another recent topic block.

Thankfully, there was another block with a similar offering I could modify to obtain this block again through a clone and mod. Still would like to know for future reference though.
