Upgrade 2.4.2 to 2.5.3 error

Hi there - i have made som xoops sites during the past years and also done som upgrades. I have a problem upgrading a site til 2.5.3 from 2.4.2.

I have uploadet all the new files and made the chmod changes. I log in to my http://www.mysite.dk/upgrade. Then i log ind and press the upgrade buttom. After i have pressed it a few times there comes a END buttom. I press that and i starts over again. Anybody have any clues?

remotely close the site, make a backup of the database, delete all files, clear cache and then load all of the new xoops 2.5.3 reinstalling from scratch

You can also try:

- update the System module
- repair the database with phpMyAdmin or similar

You might also do the file check, if you have all the required files (you'll find the file check in the top directory of XOOPS distribution.
