Hi there...

I'm not sure that I'm could catch up all the info...

I need to redesign one xoops website, and it's based on news module. So, my question is:

Will the news and xnews will be merged in to news module ot they will be separate branches?

I think, the focus is now on News to be included in the Basic Module Pack. This will be done hopefully within 2-4 weeks.

Then we can re-start work on merging xNews with News. Here, there is no date, because I am not sure about the resources we will have available. It could be months.

No progress at all.

Voltan is busy with fmContent, I was busy with setting up Jenkins on my PC to use it for tests on the modules I am working on.

The plan is as follow:

- finish Basic Module Pack
- then work on News/xNews merger

But we welcome anybody who would like to help

I'd like to help, but I'm not a coder. But, I could do make more SEO firendly templates.. but I'll w8 for the final or beta version :)

What are the salient differences that need to be combined and/or merged into one or the other? I've installed xnews for another site, and I must admit that I like the automatic cloning feature (not yet tried), although I find it interesting that clones are managed under the module, but I guess I understand why, sorta.

Anyhoos, is there a reason they should be cloned? Are both teams still active?
