How to add a language file to a module ?

I often customize files located in / languages by changing some translations, and sometimes adding new defines to complete my templates.

Generally, I note all my changes to avoid losing them to each update of the module. For translations, it is a lot of lost time: is it possible to create a new language file in which I could put all my new / customized defines ?

If yes, how ?

a beginning of a solution about new defines : there is a file made for it into morphogenesis themes.

/themes/morphogenesis/language/ ... / main.php : we can add every new defines we need !
