Hey Nick, lots of good links to threads but I meant if there is any information to help me understand the structure of profile and how it is setup to work that would be great.
Otherwise I will be disassembling the design of profile over the next few days to get a good idea how it is setup to work. Then I can build some changes into the xroster program to test my theories. I could just hack the xroster program now to do what I want and may do that if this takes me too long, but I would rather build a more universal tool. If my modifications work with xroster then I can apply a large majority of them to profile as well. My ideas will greatly simplify profile and build it into more of a flexible engine than a hard coded profile module. Will have options that will make it work for anything from the profile module it is today to a full blown social network tool. Think of flexibility like formalize but with a number of additional features.
(I am hoping learning how profile is put together will help me be able to complete some other works I have been kicking around but haven't had time to mess with yet. Such as updating the media wiki for xoops...)
