What currently can we do to tie facebook to our website?

I see a block at the bottom of the xoops.org page and I wonder if this is solely code from the "facebook social plugin" or if it has been specialized for xoops?

I have a site I wish to integrate as fully as possible with facebook as there is a fan page on there for the site I have running. Would be nice to tie the two together as much as possible.

I remember seeing some mention about some sort of connection but have been unable to find that thread with the search feature.
