Here are teh versions of applications:

Xoops Version:2.3.3 ( it was 2.4.4 I have restored it that is why it is 2.3.3) nou
PHP version: 5.2
MySQL version: 5

Hello All

After lots of searching and trying different things the problem is solved. I downloaded xoops 2.3.3 and reloaded the system module from the xoops module dir to my mysite/module/system and it worked. Thanks anyways.
