Yup, Google does look in meta tags in theme (depends on the theme, maybe meta tags are in other file).

Are you sure that you cleared the cache or turn on template modification?

For this I use default theme, nothing else. I need to add this code to meta tag so I can controll this site under webmaster tools on google, and only by this I can rescan site for malware and remove this blocking.

I turned on template check but again I can't find this head file that is loaded when page is generated by server.
Also cache is cleared.

You should also havethe option to upload a separate file - this may be an easier option.

If I upload only index file with this meta tag then I can't recheck site with tool on webadministrator tools.

Not the external index file, but external google webmasters verification file in root of your website via ftp :)

I had to do the same thing and google offers a file you can put into your root directory of your site and then you inform google that you have placed it there and it will look for it on your site under the URL it requests. My site was not hacked but google didn't like what it saw and did this with my site.

So check out the options you have and the easiest is to just FTP that file as mentioned elsewhere.

I didn't find that option there.

But second and more dissapointmentable is that we actually doesn't know where meta tags are coming from. That's not good my friends

EDIT: Sorry, I found option to upload HTML file to my site.

I still have problem. I installed brand new xoops 2.4.4 to this site after I delete whole account on server and create new one.
They wrote:

Quote:

Once you're sure your site is free from any infected code and content, you can request a malware review.

On the Webmaster Tools Home page, select the site you want.
Click Diagnostics, and then click Malware.
Click Request a review.
Once it's confirmed that your site is clean, it can take up to a day or so for the malware warning to be removed from your site in search results.

But now I don't have option to request a review because now it sais that there is not malware on site, but blocking still works. I don't know what to do now. There is no email of google support for this matters.
