Ithat is a server side setting (max_upload_filesize) so most likely your provider will have to increase that

Some modules (galleries, forums, etc) which allow users to upload files have their own settings which over-ride the global setting in the XOOPS core.

Worth knowing if it's a particular module that's troubling you

where is $xoopsModuleConfig located

The module is SocialNet it is not finished yet I'm told, but I love the module and what is does I just can not find out how to upload mp3s over 2 meg (which is most) This module is perfect for band related web sites which is why I'm trying to find out how to make it work. I'm still learning a lot about XOOPS but I am a novice.
Thanks

Sorry.... I don't understand the question in relation to this thread. That is a global variable set in index.php in the root directory of your XOOPS site. It is also set in other parts of the core and also by modules in many files. I cannot, therefore answer your question

The max size of file uploads to your site is controlled by either:

1. The max size-limit permitted by your server config. Ask your hosting company if you don't know what this is
2. The size limit that you specify within a given module.
3. Size limits that you set in preferences for core functions like avatars, image uploads to image manager, etc.

Can you be more specific about what you're trying to upload (image, zip-file, etc) and through which module?

Will help if we can

I see that you've added more info to your post whilst I was typing my reply ]
