Admin gives blank page

Just upgraded from 2.16 to 2.4.1. Did the upgrade but updating the modules and/or database can not be done because I get a blank page trying to open the admin section. Emptied template_c and the cache dir. Any help is very welcome!!
Using php5.xx and MySQL 5.xx

Possible causes:

* you have Protector in two Trust-path "folders"
* one of your modules doesn't work with XOOPS 2.4.1
* you /xoops_data/cache directories don't have write permissions

Did you also change PHP version? Or is it still the same as with 2.16 ?

Indeed had two trust folders. Changed that and deleted one. no result
Cache dir are writable
php is the same as before.
So basically you're telling me that I have to find out if and which module isn't compatible.
Ouch, had I known that...
So I reckon all I can do is deleting them one by one hoping it is the right one...

The question is, did you deleted the right one?

Make sure that the content of /xoops_lib is in that one that you have, and that mainfile.php points correctly to it.

Clear your cache folders in xoops_data, and try again.

I think that what the issue is, i.e. something missing with your Trust Path and Protector.

If your modules worked before and the PHP version is the same, then XOOPS should work.

Yes, I got it.

Your Website is working now.

The reason was that you had Protector in two different "Trust-path" folders.

I have removed one, and now everything is OK.
