Re: Show us the $$$....!

somebody think of the children users!

I bet you find at the bottom of this a few idiots that are sitting back and trying to have fun at the expensive of most of the other members of this and the other CMS. I bet if you spoke to 99% of the people on here and there they would be happy for open collaboration between the two projects.

It doesn't matter if someone chooses their product over zoops. It's not a commercial enterprise, it's open source. It's done for the fun!

Would a poster get flamed for suggesting a different linux distro on the ubuntu forums?

That's the great thing about open source.. if someone does something better then you can use that code and make your package better.

The XOOPS.COM domain was donated to the XOOPS Project in 2004/2005,
but in the name of Herko Coomans. Now, Herko is selling the domain XOOPS.COM for anyone with money for it (spammers?).

Look the XOOPS.COM history here:

Re: HERKO COOMANS IS SELLING XOOPS.COM DOMAIN (A XOOPS DONATION) Re: Show us the $$$....!

In the past, he said he would give the domain name to the project when Onokazu would do the same with xoops.org.
Ononkazu has kept his promise but not Herko, proving once again that he is a liar and a thief.
His place is in prison

I'm going to assume this isn't a post to stir things up but there's not much anyone can do with it that wouldn't be XOOPS related.. http://www.icann.nl/udrp/udrp-policy-24oct99.htm (4b in particular)

Re: Show us the $$$....!

Quote:

- fact: the domain name is for sale.

- question: was the domain name donated to the XOOPS project or to the XOOPS Foundation that is registered with number 08129745 at the Dutch Chamber of commerce (source: kvk.nl ).

Herko was not the first to register the domain. This can be substantiated by the Archive.org and others services. A ex-member of xoops.org registered the domain. At the time, there were many complaints here in the forums (deleted threads). Hence, the former owner transferred the domain to Herko because he represented the XOOPS, because everyone trusted him.

Quote:

- question: if the domain name was donated to the XOOPS foundation, was it registered in the name of the XOOPS foundation?

No because the domain was transfered BEFORE XOOPS foundation exists. I can prove it.

Quote:

- question: is he selling the domain name... or did he drop it and is Sedo Parking now selling the name.

He is selling. The Herko's price expectation is 500 EUR (minimum).

I would suggest to moderators to Lock this Topic instead to delete messages.

I am still receiving notifications from this topic and I think that it is time to lock it. It is already outdated...

Re: Show us the $$$....!

Unfortunately, this topics is not outdated, as the XOOPS Community still doesn't have the money from Herko. We have given the case to lawyers. More info will be provided, as it becomes available.

In the meantime, I suggest to you to unsubscribe the notification from this thread.

Re: Show us the $$$....!

Hi Mamba and thanks for the reply.

I still believe that this topic should be locked and may start a new one (with a link). Deleting replies is not a nice approach.

We constantly delete SPAM from various topics. The message deleted here was one of them, and had nothing to do with the topic.
